Let's Sail Away, Find Our Own Country.

It's 1:30 AM And I Just Baked Oatmeal Bars.

(this is what i do when i can't sleep. but honestly? i didn't even try to sleep. i just knew i couldn't. i'm just thinking, thinking, thinking. i figure i'd try and wear myself out so when i actually do attempt to enter the realm of dreams, it'll happen. i won't just lay there thinking, thinking, thinking. i'd much rather be awake; preheat the oven to 425 F. combine the oatmeal, brown sugar, and salt. add the chocolate chips, coconut flakes, melted butter, and orange marmalade. look at the bits of oranges. spray pam on the pan. pat the mixture down. bake for 16 minutes. try and scrape the bars out of the pan. some of the bars are stuck to the pan. cool on a wire rack. divulge. process the taste. interesting. different. thinking, thinking, thinking. listen to allred's island cover. send a nice message to an old friend. somewhat make amends. aching head. straining eyes. i'd like to sleep for fourteen hours straight.)

And They Turned Out Pretty Good.
